Patients need to have realistic expectations.
The longer and more severe the CFS/FMS, the longer it will take to make any sort
of recovery. If you have been unwell for years don't expect to feel better in
two months. Therapy for CFS involves detective work and much careful analysis of
history, examination findings, tests and trials.
A General Practitioner referral is helpful but not essential.
Please bring any past test results and any medications or supplements that you are

Coming from Ballina: As you come to Wollongbar
on the Ballina Road take the first street on the right (just before the "Bellowing
Bull" restaurant) and follow it as it bends around. Then take the first
street on
the left (Simpson Ave.). The shopping centre will be obvious on the left. Shop
13 is the Dental Practice on the east (seaward) side. Dr. Bird operates from a
room in this Dental Practice.
Coming from Lismore: As you come to Wollongbar
on the Ballina Road take the first street on the left (Rifle Range Rd.). Then take
the first street on the right (Simpson Ave.) and follow it as it bends around. The
shopping centre will become obvious on the right. Shop 13 is the Dental Practice
on the east (seaward) side. Dr. Bird operates from a room in this Dental
Practice.
Consultation Costs (medical consultations are GST exempt):
Healthcare or Pensioner Card holder:
$89 for first consultation (~1 hour 15 minutes).
If you have a Medicare card you will be entitled to a refund from Medicare of
about $70.
$57 for follow-up consultations (~30 minutes). If you have a Medicare card you
will be entitled to a refund from Medicare of about $47.
Non Healthcare or Pensioner Card holder:
$109 for first consultation (~1 hour 15 minutes).
If you have a Medicare card you will be entitled to a refund from Medicare of
about $70.
$67 for follow-up consultations (~30 minutes). If you have a Medicare card you
will be entitled to a refund from Medicare of about $47.
