Life of Christ: Early Ministry Diagram
This diagram is based on the Gospel accounts. It
is intended as a memory guide. We must remember that the exact sequence and
timing of all of Christ's movements cannot be completely established from
available sources. Also the exact location of many events is uncertain.
1. John the Baptist's preparation for his ministry
2. Ministry of John the Baptist. The baptism. Mt. 3,4. Mk. 1. Lk. 3,4.
3. The fast and temptation.
4. John the Baptist's testimony when rabbis question him: "There is
among you..." Jn. 1
Next day: Jesus declared "the Lamb of God".
Next day: "Behold the Lamb of God!" Andrew and John follow
Jesus and Simon is fetched and renamed Peter.
5. Philip called as they start out for Galilee. He fetches Nathaneal.
6. Wedding feast and Cana. Jn. 2
7. Jesus, His disciples, His mother and brothers travel to the Passover feast at Jerusalem going via Capernaum.
