FIRSTLY, the Marian apparitions at Fatima are the foundation of all other Marian apparitions which have taken place from 1917 until Satan counterfeits the second coming of Jesus.

SECONDLY, through the Fatima apparitions Satan is starting a new way (spiritism) to communicate with the Roman Catholic Church telling her what she must do.

THIRDLY, through the Fatima apparitions Satan confirms the Roman Catholic Church’s claim that she is the only true church in this world.

FOURTHLY, through the Fatima apparitions Satan reveals to the Roman Catholic Church, the future of the world until the end times, the last days, the final events, when Satan himself personates Jesus Christ in a false second coming. They believe that this will also be the commencement of the millennium of peace.

In recent years Marian apparitions have increased as never before, in the whole world. More than this, Satan through the Marian apparitions is now giving the end-time message to the whole world.

In the book The Thunder of Justice pages 289 and 290, it states: "On December 31, 1992, the Blessed Mother through Father Gobbi, pointed out to us the signs of the last times. She said, ‘I have announced to you many times that the end of the times and the coming of Jesus in glory is very near.’ "² This is the main Mary (Satan) message to the people of the world today. The question arises: Why? The devil is preparing the world for his personation of Jesus just before the real second coming.

"Sister Lucia said that the Virgin Mary made her see clearly that "we are in the last times of the world^."3

By these above statements Mary is informing the people of the world the time in which they are living. Please listen to the next statement from the book The Thunder of Justice. "The multiplication of reports of Marian apparitions in our day and the "signs and wonders" being experienced by millions of ordinary people are indications both of deep spiritual crises and of very great hope. God’s people may be losing sight of Him, but He has not lost sight of us. He is very much present and concerned over our deepening alienation from Him. His personal intervention is necessary and imminent. He is sending His very best messenger, His most treasured soul - His own mother - to warn us, to shelter us, to form us, to prepare us in every possible way so that we may be ready for the day of His coming in the very near future."⁴ This is the essence of Mary’s (Satan’s) message today.

ON JANUARY 1, 1990, through Father Gobbi, Mary further stated: "I am the Mother of the Second Advent. I am preparing you for His new coming."⁵

The authors of The Thunder of Justice say, "As John the Baptist prepared the way for the first coming of Jesus, Mary prepares the way for His Second Coming^.."6

Pope John Paul II in his recent encyclical Redemptoris Mater, speaks of Mary as the historical precursor of Christ. "The church has constantly been aware that Mary appeared on the horizon of salvation history before Christ."⁷ From this we can clearly see that Mary is acknowledged by Pope John Paul II as the precursor of Christ’s coming as was John the Baptist.

In the video entitled "What Mary says to the world," by Ted Flynn, author of the book The Thunder of Justice, he says: "As John the Baptist was the precursor of Christ in His first coming, in the same way Mary is the precursor of Christ in His Second Coming."

In the Pope’s encyclical mentioned above, he quotes a startling message that Mary gave to Father Gobbi on July 30, 1986, in which she said: "This is the moment for all to take refuge in me, because I am the Ark of the New Covenant. At the time of Noah, immediately before the flood, those whom the Lord had destined to survive His terrible chastisement entered into the Ark. In these your times, I am inviting all my beloved children to enter in the Ark of the New Covenant, which I have built in my Immaculate Heart for you that they may be assisted by me to carry the bloody burden of the great trial which precedes the coming of the day of the Lord."⁸

As you can see, Mary has claimed to be our Refuge, but the Bible in Psalm 91:1,2 says; "he that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my fortress; My God; in Him will I trust^."9

In a message dated September 8, 1989, to the Marian Movement of Priests, Mary explained about the mark of the beast, she says,: "If my Adversary is signing, with his mark, all his followers, the time has come when I also your heavenly leader am signing, with my motherly seal, all those who have consecrated themselves to my Immaculate Heart and have formed part of my army^."10

But Revelation 7:2 says: "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God." From this we see the angel, not Mary, having the seal of the living God, but not "Motherly seal."

It is a counterfeit of the seal of the living God in the end-time. Always the false precedes just before the true. This really indicates that we are living in the very last hour.

Here is something that is very interesting. "Mary, as the second Eve...what Lucifer has lost by pride, Mary has gained by humility. What Eve has damned and lost by disobedience, Mary has saved by obedience. Eve, in obeying the serpent, has destroyed all her children together with herself, and has delivered them to him (Satan); Mary in being perfectly faithful to God, has saved all her children."¹¹From this you can see Mary as our Saviour. But what about Jesus. The Bible nowhere says that Mary is the second Eve. The Bible teaches us that Jesus is our Saviour, and He is the second Adam. What the first Adam lost the second restored. Through His humiliation, obedience, love and death, he is our Saviour. Mary was only a blessed tool, but not the main object in the plan of salvation. As Peter says: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."¹²Do you see how the devil is counterfeiting everything that belongs to Jesus?

ON JANUARY 24, 1984, Mary said to Father Gobbi; "I am always among you." But in the Bible, Matthew 28:20, Jesus said: "I am with you always even unto the end of the world."

Who is telling the truth? Do you see how Satan removes Jesus and puts himself in His place?

"John Paul II confirms Mary’s vital role in the preparation of the people of God for Christ’s second coming through her special intercession, and as the ‘Mediatrix of mercy.’ ^"13

"As Advocate, Mary brings to God the petitions of the People of God."¹⁴But the Bible in 1 Timothy 2:5 says: "For there is one God, and ONE Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus."¹⁵The Bible teaches there is only one Mediator. Satan wants to remove Jesus as the advocate from the mind of people and have them pray to Mary.

The saying of the rosary is a very vital part of Catholic worship. What is a rosary? It is a string of fifty small beads - separated by four large beads and a crucifix. As the small beads are touched, the worshipper says a "Hail, Mary." On the large beads the Lord’s prayer is prayed. On the crucifix the Apostles creed is recited. The Rosary does tell us that Mary is at the center of Catholic worship! For example, on October 8, 1984, Our Lady appeared to the Medjugorje visionary, she said: "Dear children...recite the rosary each evening^."16

ON AUGUST 8, 1985, Mary instructed, "Dear children, today I call you especially now to advance against Satan by means of prayer. Satan wants to work still more now that you know he is at work. Dear children, put on the armour for battle and with the rosary in your hands, defeat him."¹⁷
As you see, Satan personates Mary and gives a warning against himself, but gives a wrong weapon (rosary).

Mary says: "The only weapons which will remain for you will be the rosary. Pray very much the prayers of the rosary. I alone am able to save you from calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved^."18

Do you see what is the main deception? Satan wants to remove Jesus as our Saviour from the people’s mind, heart and faith.

"Many times ‘Mary’ has predicted that we are in the last decade of earth’s history (in the twentieth century) as we know it. She claims to be the messenger of the second coming and following this decade she predicts a long period of peace (the millennium of peace). Listen as she describes the shortness of time^."19

"Our Blessed Mother told us through Father Gobbi in a message given September, 18, 1988, that we have a period of ten years - ten decisive years: "In this period of ten years there will come to completion the time of the great tribulation which has been foretold to you in Holy Scripture, before the Second Coming of Jesus.... In this period of ten years all the secrets which I have revealed to some of my children will come to pass and all the events which have been foretold to you by me will take place^."20

ON JANUARY 1, 1990, through Father Gobbi, Mary further stated she is the Mother of the Second Advent... "I want to take you by the hand and accompany you on the threshold of this decade, which you are beginning precisely on this day. It is a very important decade. It is a period of time particularly marked by a strong presence of the Lord among you. During the last decade of your century the events which I have foretold to you will have reached their completion^."21

"In another very interesting prediction Mary has used the lives of two very old people as time lines leading up to the Second Coming and the end of time^."22

The FIRST, Mary said to Lucia that "Lucia would live to see the fulfillment of all the messages."²³In 1997 she is 90. Mary promised her she would be alive when Jesus Christ comes.

The SECOND time line is the life of the current Pope, John Paul II. Conchita, one of the "visionaries" of Garabandal, Spain, has said: "After Pope John (XXIII), there will be three more popes, one will reign only a short time (33 days) and then it will be the end of times."

When Pope Paul VI became Pope, our Lady mentioned this to me again. She said: "Now there will be two more popes (John Paul I and John Paul II) and then it will be the end of time, but not the end of the world."²⁴"It is interesting to note that most Catholics believe that when Christ comes (this will be the finish of the end of times) the world will be not be destroyed but rather enter into a long age of peace (Millennium of Peace). As most readers well know, one of the last two popes, Pope John Paul I reigned only a short time, according to the prediction, from August 26, 1978, to September 28 of the same year, only thirty three days! The current Pope, John Paul II is getting old (77) and feeble, and he is the third pope since John XXIII^.".25

Here is a summary of these Marian apparitions, and we will draw some conclusions from them. As we mentioned, the Spirit of Prophecy says: "Spiritualism is the masterpiece of Satan’s deceptions."²⁶"Little by little he has prepared the way for his masterpiece of deception in the development of spiritualism. He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs; but it will be reached in the last remnant of time."²⁷Now we are living "in the last remnant of time." "Marian apparitions are a spiritualistic phenomena, the masterpiece of Satan’s deceptions. This is one of the primary ways Satan will use to deceive the world at the end of time....How clever of Satan to devise apparitions of the mother of Jesus as his channel to deceive the world in the end-time^."28

In view of all we have learnt during our study of the Mary apparitions what conclusion can we draw from them? We, as Seventh-day Adventists have our message based on the Bible prophecies, which tell us that we are living in the last days and the second coming of Jesus is very near. So, we must prepare ourselves in order to be ready for Jesus coming. If we compare it with the message ‘Mary’ is giving to the world, primarily it is the same.

FIRST, it is from a spiritualistic source. Behind this is Satan himself who personates Mary. It is the masterpiece of Satan’s deception in the last days in which we are living. "But in his ‘crowning act in the drama of deception,’ Satan himself will personate Christ"²⁹in a false second coming, just before the true. Soon, very soon this will happen.

SECOND, the main message which the apparition of Mary has been given is that the end is very near, and that the second coming of Jesus is at hand. We must prepare ourselves and be ready; but the context in which this message is given is wrong.

For example: Mary says: "I am your refuge and ark, I am sealing you by my motherly seal. I am your advocate and intercessor before God. I am the Mother of the body of Christ. I am the Mother of the Church." Do you see Mary has usurped that which belongs only to Jesus?

Listen to what Mary said to Father Gobbi in December, 1994. This is very important: "I confirm to you that, by the great jubilee of the year 2000, there will take place the triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory to establish his reign in the world. What will come to pass is something so very great that it will exceed anything that has taken place since the beginning of the world^."30

FIRST, that Satan knows very well the time is short! The Lord is coming! In reality when Jesus comes, for him (Satan) begins the end of his existence. He knows it. So in his desperate situation, he decided through his personation of Mary, to tell the world that the end is near: Jesus is coming and be ready. Seven times in the book The Thunder of Justice Mary says her work to is prepare the way for her Son’s return. Satan is preparing the world for his personation of Christ just before the real second coming, in order that the whole world accept him as the true Christ.
