Joseph goes to Pilate. Jn.

Pilate sends for the centurion and confirms the death. Mk.

John, Joseph, Nicodemus remove the body and wrap it and place it in Joseph's tomb. Jn.

Galilean women watch and see the stone role against the entrance. They return and prepare spices and fragrant oils. Lk.

Mary Magdalene and the other Marys linger. Mt.

b). Sabbath.

Jewish leaders hold a council and ask Pilate for the tomb to be made secure. Mt.

(? Saturday evening: women preparing spices and oils).

c). Sunday morning.

Before dawn. The great earthquake. Angel descends. Soldiers fall as dead. Jesus comes forth. Mt. 

About dawn. Soldiers stagger into the city. Brought before the Council. Mt.

"Tell them, His disciples came at night and stole Him away well we slept. And if this comes to the governors ears, we will appease him and make you secure." Mt.

Before dawn. Some of the dead brought forth with Christ at His resurrection -- the tombs rent open at the earthquake which occurred at His death. Mt. 

Women coming from different directions. "Who will take away the stone from the door...?" The heavens alight. Earthquake.  Mk.

Mary Magdalene is the first to reach the tomb. She saw the stone rolled away. She left to tell the disciples. Jn.

About dawn. The other women arrive.

 "Do not be afraid, for... He is risen, as He said... He is going before you into Galilee..." Mt. 

They look into the tomb. The other angel in human form: "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." Lk.

"See the place where they laid Him. Then go, tell His disciples -- and Peter -- that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you." Mk.

Mary Magdalene tells Peter and John. They run to the tomb. They look in and leave. Mary stays and sees two angels in the tomb. "Woman, why you weeping?" "Because they have taken away..." Jn.

"Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you seeking?" "Sir, if You have..." "Mary!" "Rabboni!" "Do not cling to Me... Jn. 

Mary leaves to tell His disciples. Jn. 

Other women report the angels' message "Go to Galilee"

Jesus ascends. Wave-offering. Descends.

Jesus appears to the other women. "Rejoice!"

"Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

Worship Him. Take the message.  Mt.

(d). Sunday ? Afternoon

Jesus Appears to Peter. Lk. 1Co.

(e). Sunday, late afternoon and evening (Evening = the second day of the week, Jewish time)

Cleopas and companion.

When they arrive the apostles say -- "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" Lk.

Then they relate their experience.

Jesus appears. Thomas not present. The great commission.

(f). One week later ("eight days").

Thomas is present. Jesus appears. "My Lord and my God!". Jn.

 

(g). During 40 days.

At the sea of Galilee Jesus appears to seven disciples including Peter, Thomas, Nathaniel, Zebedee's sons. Jn.

500 at the mountain. The great commission. 1Co. Mt.

James. 1Co.
